Heights Veterinary Clinic, P.C. recognizes that its employees are its greatest asset. Take a moment to get to know some of our staff members.
Doctors
Dr. Kenneth H. Williams is a 1971 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Williams served 2½ years in the military before coming to work at Heights Veterinary Clinic in March of 1974. He purchased the clinic in January of 1975 and has guided the clinic's growth since that time. Dr. Williams is a native of the Heights and possesses encyclopedic knowledge of the area. He has even been known to conduct tours of historic Heights landmarks on weekends (for a nominal fee). ![]()
Dr. Susan Fulton graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990 and has practiced in the Houston area since. She is a member of the HCVMA, the TVMA, and the AVMA
Dr. Daniel V. Hendrix is a 1994 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. Dr. Hendrix practiced outside of Chicago for two years after graduation before moving back to Texas and signing on at Heights Veterinary Clinic, P.C. in August of 1997. His interests include ultrasonography, exotic/avian medicine, and computer science.
Dr. Lisa Pina is a recent graduate of Texas A&M College of Vetinary Medicine. We are very pleased to welcome her to Heights Vet!
Veterinary Technicians
Our technicians function as the veterinary analog of nurses in human hospitals. They assist the doctors in providing high quality medical care to our patients.
Joni has worked at Heights Veterinary clinic since September of 2002.
Sandy is a vet tech who enjoys taking care of your family pet. She loves cats and dogs but mainly cats at home. She has been giving outstanding care to pets here at the clinic since 1999. Sandy has been in the vet tech field for 30 years and also assists the doctors in surgeries and dentals.
Larry has been with us since June 2001. He started working in the kennel, caring for the animals, and then moved to assisting the doctors and became a veterinary technician. He was born and raised in the Heights area. he owns 2 dogs... a lab mix and a very unique looking Corgi / Pitbull mix.
Mark Fontenot was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He moved to Houston in 1975. He has been with the clinic since 1996. He has been in the veterinary field for 30 years. He enjoys seeing animals and socializing with the clients. He owns 5 dogs, Amy, Schatzie, Casper, Charlie, and Shorty..
Sarah has returned to Heights veterinary Clinic after volunteering as a youngster. She is also attending TAMU as an undergraduate with aims at attending the veterinary college.
Jacob Calle has been working in animal care and husbandry for quite some time. He studies zoology and animal conservation. Jacob has gained much of his experience from The Houston Zoo. While not working with animals he is a multi-media artist.
Receptionists
Our friendly and knowledgeable receptionists check clients and patients in at the front desk and also manage our client database.
Marsha is our resident reformed lawyer. She has been with HVC for many years and has averaged around one new animal adoption per year. This is the most recent photo our sources could acquire. (That's Marsha there on the right)
Annette was born in Fort Bragg, NC and grew up as an Army Brat, living in Europe for 12 years and then New Mexico, Alaska and Texas. She is the caretaker of 3 dogs. She has a rose and vegetable garden. She loves movies and books.
Brenda has been with Heights Vet Clinic for 2 years. She owns a 55 gallon tank full of tropical fish. She also has a miniature pony and is the proud owner of a dachshund, doberman pinscher, and an evil looking mutt!
Maggie Flores has been with Heights Veterinary Clinic since 2003. She enjoys interacting with the clients she has met throughout the years. She greets clients with a warm smile and does her best to ensure a pleasurable experience when visiting the clinic. She is the proud owner of many pets herself, which she adopted here from the clinic.
Kennel Wardens
Our kennel wardens are responsible for meeting the most basic needs of our patients and boarders. They feed, water, walk, bathe, and dip the dogs and cats in the clinic.
Margarita has been with our clinic since 2000. She is the Kennel Supervisor, which entails bathing and taking care of your pets while they are boarding. She has had more than 20 years experience working with animals.
Mark Zamorang has been working at Heights Vet Clinic for about 10 months. He loves taking care of all dogs and cats that come and stay with us. Mark has 2 dogs of his own, Smokey and Momma.
Mascot
Residing in the terrarium outside the window of Exam Room 1, Dawg is the official Mascot of HVC. She is friendlier than she looks, but not by much.
